Ohh the sweet winter....

We had our first kinda' winter dish in a while....you know at the end of august beginning of September you begin to serve more warm dishes like soups, breads, chili and things like that (also you pull out your football jerseys :)......we had a family fav Tortilla Soup. It is SO good!!!!! It basically consists of salsa, black beans, tomatoes, and chicken (cooked in it until soft and then taken out and shredded) then you crumble (more like smash {in our family at least}) Tortilla chips into the bottom of the bowl....yum that is what I'm talking about! Then your sprinkle sour cream and (the best if freshly graded) cheddar cheese. My brother's like that more then I but I thought I would suggest it anyway.

Then for lunch I had a delicous sandwitch with a nice soft bun (not sure were we got it) with piece of thick juicy Ham and Turkey, unfortunately without cheese my brother's used it all up, with a little mayo to soften it up! It was delicous...and of course some pretzels and 2 Chipahoy cookies (the best store bought cookie (yuck) besides Orioes.


I know that I'm going backwards but for breakfast, I just had a piece of wheat toast (w/ butter of course everything is good w/ butter as I always say) and a over hard egg on the side (like a fried egg but the yoke is cracked so that it isn't runny)

In the begining.....

Hello all...first i wanted too say if you didn't already know....I'm Italian which mean I LOVE food, some family's like games some family's like painting....but this family The Mulligan's, center around food, yes food. As i said in the intro I learn from the best.....starting w/ my great grandma all of the way down to my mom, we are all Italian and we share a commom intrest we sometimes play games in stuff but most of the time it's about the food. I hope you enjoy and delight of this blog.....
