Simply Delicous

I can make apple pie by myself! I can't believe it!!!!!!! And it wasn't too bad (if i do say so my self :)))) And it is SO simple...simply cut up a BUNCH of apples into slices and dump on top of those (in a bowl of course) flour (to thicken) sugar, nutmeg, salt, and Cinnamon. Mix up, have a few tasters, and put aside. Roll out refrigerated pie dough (I know crazy isn't it!) put as bottom 1/2 of pie, pour apples on top...put a few pats of butter on top. Roll out 2nd piece of dough and roll on top. Put a little leaf or apple cookie shape on top and cut a few slits for steam on top. Brush with milk and sprinkle with sugar...Delicious! put in oven a little while later fold a piece of foil in half and cut a half circle...pull apart and put on top of pie, so that the crust is covered. Take out and cool and enjoy with a couple scoops of Vanilla ice cream on the side and you can't have anything better! True Fall...

The 2nd simple recipe that i made by myself was..and little Italian side dish. We had some leftover mozzarella cheese so I cut that up in slices, and then you cut up some tomatoes and layer with cheese. Cut up some fresh Basil and sprinkle in top. spritz with salt and pepper...enjoy!!!! Oh don't forget to drizzle some olive oil on top!!! If you would like any of these recipes please email or comment!

Cake on a Pop Yumm! Red Velvet!

Well, this time my mom was doing here regular blog checking (reading every bodies updates) and she checks this particular blog named I think My Kitchen Cafe or something but anyway on that blog there was a recipe for Cake Pops....And they looked SO cute the way they showed them and they didn't look that hard to make, so (I happened to be with her) I asked here to print it so that I can make it, that was, I think, a couple months ago. I asked every time I felt like making something "can I make the cake pops" but that answer was always "No" because she usually wants to make something that is new with me, and she was never available. So I didn't make it for a while...then on night I had just finished school and I asked mom and she said "yes"! I was SO excited, so I started with the first step.....

Bake a 9x13 pan of cake, I used Red Velvet, but you can use anything...I just love that kind! You cook it just like you would a regular cake (It says on the box) then (when completely cooked (remember that!)) get a big bowl and crumble it into it, then you take a can full of icing (I used cream cheese Icing because it was Red Velvet cake and that matches, but you can use any kind you like) and put that in the bowl along with the cake, do NOT use all of it, just most of it, leave about 2 Tablespoons in the cup. Mix up with hands or back of spoon (I used my hand because how many times do you get to mix up and crumble a cake with you bare hands? :). Take mixture and roll into quarter sized balls on a wax paper covered baking sheet. Then melt some melting chocolate in a bowl take some lollipop sticks (which you can find a any craft store) and dip just the end of it in the chocolate, and stick it however deep you dipped it in the ball (It should be a little more then 1/2 way) Put them in the freezer long enough so that they are stiff. spoon some more melted chocolate on top of those until covered and gently tap on side of bowl so that all extra chocolate falls off. Then put upside down in a colander, or in some really strong Styrofoam. Let dry and then I put plastic little treat bags on top of them and the tied but you can do anything! Hope you enjoy I might have some pics of other recipes that I have written about but not shown, hopefully!

The Italian dinner...

Last night was Italian! We had just had the big picnic at the church so we didn't wanted to make anything huge. So we had these Delicious what I call Tomato and Feta Bites...they were SO good! All you do is Cut up frozen French Baguettes into slices, and put them all on a pan....then put EVOO on them. You put Feta on top of the soaked in oiled bread slices. Cut up some tomatoes and put those on top of the feta. Put another layer of Feta and then put some Cut up basil on top of that. Put in the oven for a little bit and the enjoy, they are warm and soft w/ the oil that had soaked into them....and w/ the melted feta. :)

Next to that we made another Italian creation...with something that my dad and I LOVE. Fresh Mozzarella cheese (make sure It is the fresh kind!) This I call: Hot Mozzarella Sandwiches. We used the same French Baguettes but we just took a 1/3 of the whole thing and cut it in half. On one side we put EVOO, and tomatoes. We put both sides in the oven w/ the Tomato and Feta Bites. Then just after they start to look at little cooked take them out and put the sliced fresh Mozzarella cheese on top. Let it sit for about 3 min. to let the cheese melt a little! YUM!

We also (even though I didn't eat this we made it) made Chicken Curry Wraps. They were really simple. All you do is basically mix Mayo, curry, some other stuff, in the mixer and then scoop that out in a bowl mix w/ cooked chicken breasts, and put on top of a tortilla w/ some lettuce and/or tomatoes or pretty much what ever you want on it! I had it left over for lunch and it was STILL good!

So Delicous Yet So Easy!

Today was that we had a church picnic and it was SO fun! All we had were hamburgers and hot dogs! But I wanted to say what we did yesterday.....after I made the brownies.....we made the things called something like this "foil packet chicken w/ snow peas and carrots" It was SO good! Actually it was Delicious! And it is REALLY simple that I could make it without help! All you have to do is take some foil and put carrots on the foil and then the peas, then you salt and pepper it. The you take chicken breast that were butterflied (basically just chicken breasts sliced down from the side all of the way through.) Put Hosin sauce on both sides and put that on top of everything else, and salt and pepper again.....then you fold of the packet and do the same w/ the next one! See isn't that so easy?! Then you just cook and serve right on the foil (we did that but you can also just put on an plate!) w/ rice or something on the side!

For dessert we had the brownies that I made earlier w/ ice cream! That is what I call yum!

I had to bake SOMETHING!

Hey....I just finished making something called Peanut Butter Truffle Brownies! You know on Saturdays, at least for us, about the middle of the afternoon I get REALLY bored and have nothing to do...usually when I get like that I want to do something w/ my hands instead of just watch TV or play video games.....So I asked my mom and she said I could make something so I decided to do a recipe that a friend had given me (because she said it was very good) so I tryed it and....They are Delicious! All you have to do is make regular brownies, let it cool for an hour, then mix up it in the mixer separately, peanut butter, powdered sugar, a little bit of milk, and some butter. Mix up until smooth, then spread on top of brownies. Then in a bowl put chocolate chips and butter then melt in microwave, that is were I reached a problem, somehow there got a little water in the bowl and all the chocolate seized up! It got all grainy and it was NOT a pretty sight! and I couldn't make another one!....but then anyway you let sit for 10 min. and hope for the best (at least that is what I did :) spread that on top of the brownies and WOLA! there you have it! but before you devour put in refrigerator for 30 min.!

I have always wanted to be a waiter.....

Well I hope you are enjoying my blog...today I will be saying something a little different......Last night we went to a party I was being a waiter kinda' we had pork (no idea what they did to that I wasn't in charge of that department) all I know is that is was good! Then we had Green Bean almost fried in EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil) w/ a VERY nice Italian addition, Garlic! Yeah I LOVE Garlic! Then we had some of my favorite rolls, a recipe from my grandmother that we make ALOTE,Then we had some DELICIOUS salad that a friend made it is so good my favorite salad. It has just regular lettuce but then it has a special salad dressing (not sure what goes in it) then you have usually glazed pecans w/ cranberries or strawberries. Then you can add Feta or Goat Cheese which I LOVE on salad......then for just extras for snacks we had apple sauce (homemade of course:) shrimp and some type of red sauce (I forgot what it was called could somebody tell me?) that you dip it in...but anyway then they had Portabella mushrooms microwaved with butter and garlic on one and Sherry and garlic on the other. You microwave them for about 4 min. on high then by then they should have shrank alote! I think that is all for last night......us helpers just had frozen pizza and left overs from every body else (not of there plates of course :) For dessert we had Homemade cheese cake YUMMMM! With chocolate syrup and then raspberry sauce! When I say yum that is what I mean! It was like heaven!

well for lunch just had a biscuit from the morning w/ some butter on it...then put it in the microwave and melted it! (I know great for you right? :) and put some jelly on top (some red raspberry jelly my favorite!) and I like a little left over from that pizza form last night!

Ohh on Fridays we have a little bit of a bigger breakfast....we had chocolate milk with peaches! My mom and dad when to Gaphany were a pottery barn is and they have TONS of peaches! And they are perfect ~

Please leave comments as you can so that I know that you are reading this! and become followers!

Oh sweet Pillsbury...

Well my dad's gone so my mom doesn't cooks very much...so what we had was refrigerated pizza better then that we had Pillsbury refrigerated pizza......so the actually pizza was pretty good but the crust just tasted like a Pillsbury biscuit (ON a pizza!! Imagine that!) every Pillsbury thing tastes the same~I can just imagine them just taking the dough rolled up and doing it in different shapes and stuffing it the the different cans! the same dough for EVERYTHING! Well....we were pretty lazy because all we put on there was pepperoni......for an Italian family that is RIDICULOUS....we usually have mushrooms and sometimes peppers, but this time we just went simple.

For lunch leftover tortilla soup (last night) which was still good....

Then one of my favorite meals breakfast I had just plain ol' cereal, the classic.....honey nut grams and honey nut cheerios, Yeah you must be thinking "wow she must like honey!" Actually I don't like honey like the honey you get in the containers (Yuck! My brother's practically float there bread in honey for a Peanut butter, honey sandwich if you know what I mean) (maybe that is my I'm so grossed out!) But anyway I LOVE Honey cereal!

second day! I hope I will be more creative in what I make and maybe bake something but we only have desserts on Wednesdays and the weekends so it is hard to make desserts (which are the funnest to make because.......the....batter is SO good Don't tell anyone I said that! :)
